Choosing a UV Water Purifier in UAE
How does a UV purifier work?
A UV purifier passes water past an ultraviolet lamp that inactivates bacteria, viruses and other microorganisms. Most models add a sediment or carbon stage to improve clarity, taste and odour.
When is UV the right choice?
UV is ideal when your water TDS is already low, as is often the case with desalinated mains water in the UAE. It keeps the natural minerals and does not send any water to the drain.
UV or RO?
If your water has high TDS, comes from a storage tank or tastes salty, RO is the better choice. If TDS is low and you mainly need protection from germs, UV is enough. Our free water test tells you which you need.

Is a UV purifier enough for UAE tap water?
Often yes, if your mains water TDS is low. If water comes from a storage tank or TDS is high, we recommend RO. We test your water free first.
Does a UV purifier remove salts or TDS?
No. UV inactivates bacteria and viruses but does not reduce dissolved salts. For high-TDS water you need an RO purifier.
Does a UV purifier waste water?
No. UV purifiers do not send water to the drain, so all the water you put in comes out purified.
How often is the UV lamp replaced?
Usually once a year, along with the filters, depending on the model and usage. We remind you on WhatsApp when service is due.
Do you install in all emirates?
