Choosing an RO Water Purifier in UAE
How does RO work?
Reverse osmosis pushes water through a very fine membrane that holds back dissolved salts, heavy metals and many other impurities. Most home RO purifiers also add UV or UF stages to deal with bacteria and viruses.
Do you need RO in the UAE?
Mains water is desalinated, but it is often stored in building or villa tanks and travels through long pipes before reaching your tap. If your water TDS is high or the taste is poor, an RO purifier is the right choice. We test your water before recommending.
RO + UV + UF
Combined RO, UV and UF purification – as in the Aquaguard Sure Delight NXT, Livpure Sereno and KENT Grand Plus – gives multiple layers of protection for everyday drinking water.
Minerals after RO

Yes. RO purifiers reduce dissolved salts and impurities, and many models add minerals back for taste. We recommend the right model after testing your water.
Do I need RO if UAE tap water is desalinated?
Not always. Storage tanks and pipes can raise TDS and affect taste. Our free water test shows whether RO or a UV purifier is the better fit.
Does an RO purifier waste water?
RO purifiers send some water to the drain during purification. Many newer models have better recovery rates, and the reject water can be used for cleaning or plants.
How often should the RO membrane be changed?
Usually every 1–2 years, and pre-filters more often, depending on water quality and usage. We remind you on WhatsApp when service is due.
