The world’s first and original alkaline ceramic ball
Biocera started in Korea in 1994 and created the antioxidant alkaline ceramic ball that is now used inside RO purifiers around the world. The A.A. (Antioxidant Alkaline) cartridge supplied by Aquaguard UAE is the genuine Biocera product – sealed and original.
Crystal Growth technology – fired at high temperature
Biocera ceramic balls are made with a high-temperature crystal-growth process. The balls stay hard and stable, so they do not crumble, turn to powder or block the cartridge, and they release minerals steadily through the life of the filter. Biocera states the media is tested free from heavy-metal leaching.
Beyond RO: pure water that is also mineral-rich
An RO membrane removes almost everything from water – including the calcium and magnesium your body normally gets from it. The result is very pure but flat, slightly acidic water.
The Biocera A.A. cartridge is fitted after the RO membrane. As the purified water passes through the ceramic balls it picks up calcium, magnesium and potassium again, the pH rises into the alkaline range and a little dissolved hydrogen is added.

Can the Biocera A.A. filter be added to my existing RO purifier?
Yes. It is fitted after the RO membrane of most home purifiers – Aquaguard, KENT, Livpure, Aquaphor and others. Send us a photo of your purifier and we confirm the right size.
Does it make the water alkaline?
It raises the pH of RO water, which is usually slightly acidic, and adds calcium, magnesium and potassium for a smoother taste.
Is it safe?
Biocera’s ceramic balls are registered with NSF International and the filter is certified to NSF/ANSI 42, 61 and 372, and is lead-free and PFAS-free according to the manufacturer.
Which size do I need?
Compact home RO units usually take an inline 8″ – 11″ filter; under-sink and commercial systems take a 10″ or 20″ drop-in cartridge. Our technician checks before fitting.
How often should it be replaced?
It depends on your water use. We usually replace it together with your RO filters during the regular service visit.
Do you install it in all Emirates?
Yes – Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Sharjah, Ajman, Ras Al Khaimah, Umm Al Quwain and Fujairah.
